Owners app (mobile)
The shop's numbers on your phone, with the bank account next to them.
For owners. A native app for the phone.
The desktop Owners app lives inside Shopmonkey. The mobile Owners app is a separate install for the phone, signed in with a code texted to the owner's number. It carries the same shop numbers out of the building and adds a view of the money that Shopmonkey doesn't have: what the bank showed, what the shop actually netted, and where it goes.

What it does
Sign in is the shop name and your role, then your mobile number. The app texts you a code and you're in. There's no password. An owner with more than one shop picks which one from the Today screen.
Today opens on the question that matters first: is this week's share of overhead covered. A green or amber card gives the figure, the days in, and the week's slice of the monthly overhead. Under it, Shop running at shows billed hours against available hours, then a grid of tiles for revenue, collected, gross profit booked, GP percent, GP per hour, cars, average RO and AWRO. Month, Week and Day switch the window. Scroll down for Technician hours, a bar per technician for the week with the shop total against its goal, and In the shop, the cars on the property by status.
Numbers is the month against targets. Each metric shows its value, its target and the variance on a red, amber or green rail. Monthly totals such as revenue and gross profit dollars are scaled to the day of the month, so day 17 is judged against 17 days of target. Rates such as GP percent, average RO and close rate aren't scaled, because they don't add up over the month.
Cash starts with the bank, right now. Until a bank is connected the figures come from the statements that have been loaded, and the screen says so. Below it, What the shop actually nets reconciles the bank's monthly totals with the shop's real result: a processor loan or merchant cash advance is repaid by holding back part of every card settlement, so the bank sees less than the shop earned. The app adds the holdback back, states the difference, and shows the two figures month by month, each month's bank total printed beside the shop's own. One-off items like an insurance payout are called out and adjusted so they don't count as sales.
Where it goes follows the money out of the operating account. Payroll and tax identifies the recurring transfer to the payroll account and breaks it into net wages, payroll tax and sales tax from that account's own statements. The float measures how many weeks of cover the account has against what it consumes each week. The spend list is every vendor still billing, with the monthly amount, the charge history, and a tag where the app recommends an audit, a review or a keep.
The bottom bar is Today, Numbers, Coach and In the shop, and Cash and Where it goes carry their own pair of tabs. This page covers the screens we've captured. Coach and In the shop aren't described here yet.
Why it matters to a shop
The desktop hub answers the morning questions at the shop computer. Most of your day isn't at that computer. The phone app carries the same answers, refreshed when you open it, with no Shopmonkey tab needed.
A bank balance and a profit figure disagree in any shop repaying a processor loan, because the processor keeps its share before the settlement reaches the bank. An owner who only looks at the balance thinks the shop is losing money when it's really paying down a loan. The Cash view puts the bank's own figure beside the shop's real result, month by month, with the holdback named, so a slow month and a loan payment stop looking the same.
A closer look
Inside Owners app (mobile).
Real screens from the mobile app, shot in a phone-sized frame against Westbrook Auto Works, a made-up shop. Every name and number in them is invented, right down to the techs, the vendors and the bank statements.
Today, scrolled: who did the hours.
The same week the desktop hub shows, on the phone: hours to date and projected, cars worked, the goal bar, and a bar per technician sorted by hours. In the shop follows, with the cars on the property grouped by status.

Numbers: the month against targets, scaled to today.
The same figures as the desktop KPI grid, one card per metric with the rail colour doing the reading for you. A total only goes red when the month is really behind for the day it's on.

Cash: the bank against what the shop netted.
The bank card says where its figures come from and how fresh they are. The card under it states the shop's real monthly result, how many months were positive, what the bank showed instead, and the holdback that explains the gap. Nothing is promised. The screen reports what the statements and the processor's export say.

Month by month, with the bank's figure beside each.
The filled bar is the shop's result and the outline is what the bank showed. The table under the chart prints both for every month. The bank's figures are its own printed monthly totals, and one-off items like an insurance payout are adjusted out and named in a footnote.

Where it goes: payroll and tax, and the float.
The recurring transfer out of the operating account is identified, then broken down from the payroll account's own statements. The float card turns that into weeks of cover: what the account consumes each week, what it receives, and how much is on hand against the next payroll.

Where it goes: the recurring bill.
Every vendor still charging the shop, with how much, how often and since when. Where the pattern changed, the app says what it noticed and what to ask, and tags the row Audit, Review or Keep so the list gets shorter each month instead of longer.
